i bought this book wanting to improve my game and learn some solid advice on how to play sit and go tournamnets.
The book gave a good understanding of the aggression needed around the bubble and some good concepts you need to know around this stage of the tournament.
I feel my game improved 8 fold after reading this and found it a pleasant read.
SNG for dummies July 18, 2008 Rybka (Ireland) 6 out of 8 found this review helpful
Come on guys, how can you give this book so many stars? This is a book for people who have never played SNG before. It is also a book for people who have read the likes of Harrington and don't understand why they are losing so badly at single table tourneys.
The only good thing I can say about this book is that is that it defines a tight early, aggressive late strategy. Thats it. Some of the advice - esp bankroll managment is shocking.
If you have never-ever played SNG before I suppose I could recommend this, even then I would still send people to Moshmans book. Moshmans book + a study of ICM then you will know 'How to Beat Sit & Go Poker' - this book won't get you there.

I found the book a good read, especially the chapter on "plays" dedictated to moved on how to out play your opponents, although i did know a large % of the material in the book i still enjoyed it and learned a couple of tips.

Simply the best! March 14, 2008 Peter Broderick (London, England) 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
This book is a solid beginers book and covers alot of basic strategy. The book has some great chapters on bubble play and the "play" chapter which covers alot of knew topics i havent seen in other books. I would recomend it to anyone starting online poker or looking for a formula to beat sit and goes.
The main reason i like this book is because i was able to apply the concepts used in it at my home game with my freinds when we have a freeze out (sit and go style tournament).
