This is an excellent beginning to learning Holdem. It assumes you know a little of the game and then teaches you how to go from there so you're playing poker and knowing what is going on from there.

After that, you're going to need to get another book as this doesn't get any further than that. So it's pretty useful that there's a 'further reading' section in the back.
