Firstly I should say that I have never purchased a poker set before, or played poker in a casino so can only compare this to what I have heard others say about the quality of poker sets. In appearance this set if very attractive and will definately appeal to female poker players (although I didn't buy it just because it was a special ladies set, I bought it due to a combination of price, time it would take to arrive and the reviews other sets got). I particularly like the choice of chip colours (pink, grey, burgundy and purple) as they are not the standard colours everyone is used to playing with. The only comment I would make that is not positive about the appearance of this set is that the logo on the plastic front cannot be seen due to the inside cushion, I had to borrow some pink paper to put behind the cushion so the logo could be seen, so I don't understand why they didn't just manaufacture it in another colour or on coloured plastic.

In terms of quality, the case feels quite hardy and has not had the colour peel off like I read from some other poker cases. The case can be locked as keys are provided with the set, although I think the lock could be broken with some force (which is probabably a good thing if you'r ethe sort of person who misplaces your keys). My main concern for the outside of this case is the handle, as it feels like hollow plastic that is attatched to two very small bars on the top of the case, and given the weight of the case (which is very heavy for its size due to the 200 11.5g chips) it feels like it could easily be broken if the case was accidentally dropped or banged against the door when carrying it, or even from swinging it to vigourously when walking. I have been very careful with how I carry mine to avoid putting strain on this delicate handle. As for the quality of the chips, they look good and feel very good to play with - proper professional weight clay chips. However when I first unwrapped the chips I found some were stuck together and so the design was damaged on some of them pulling them apart (although not to a great extent), and others that weren't stuck together still had slight damage to the chip itself despite never been taken out the wrapping before (again, not noticable unless you are looking right at them).

The set also comes with 2 packs of decent quality cards (nothing special) and a helpful guide in several languages (although mainly Scandinavian languages, for example there is no Spanish or German translation). I found the book clear and interesting to read, as it contains both tips and instructions of how to play other poker games than just the standard Texas Hold 'Em. There is also a dealer button (standard) and five dice which I have not used at this point. These are adequately protected within the case by a cushion which I mentioned before.

So in conclusion, if you are looking for a decent quality poker set (obviously this is aimed at females as it does say 'ladies poker night' on the front) then this is a good buy. It is a little expensive for the number of chips you get but it is guaranteed to bring enjoyment if you want to play poker at home but have a more professional feel.
